how to use:

morning regime: Cleanse and dry skin. Follow with 1 pump of sk.in gloss and apply with fingertips over the entire face. Please remember to use a daily SPF 30 or higher that contains zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide. If this is your first time using sk.in gloss, please follow the introductory phase skin regime.

evening regime: Cleanse and dry skin. Use sk.in pure every 3rd night as a spot treatment to the hyperpigmented areas or apply to the entire face. Wait for the sk.in pure solution to fully absorb and follow with 1 pump of sk.in bounce and apply with fingertips over the entire face. If this is your first time using sk.in bounce, please follow the introductory phase skin regime.

the introductory phase skin regime for sk.in gloss and sk.in bounce:

Use every third morning for the first two weeks, then every second morning for the next two weeks.
If no skin reaction occurs continue to apply sk.in gloss every morning and sk.in bounce every evening.
Always use a sunblock with an SPF of 30 or higher that contains Zinc Oxide and/or Titanium Dioxide during the day when using this product.

The combination of the three products in the sk.in htp | hyperpigmentation treatment pack rely on specific active ingredients to allow maximum penetration and targeting of hyperpigmented marks:

Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate:

  1. Stays in the skin cells through the day as it is not eliminated through the aquaporins which results in a prolonged depigmenting effect.
  2. Faster percutaneous absorption of ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate than other forms of vitamin C owing to its lipid solubility.
  3. Better stability.
  4. Lower irritancy.
  5. Significant improvement of facial hyperpigmentation.
  6. A reduction in trans epidermal water loss.

Salicylic Acid:

  1. It exfoliates the skin.
  2. It improves the penetration of certain topical ingredients: this enhances the effect of your topical skin regime.
  3. It has both antibacterial and antifungal effects.
  4. Works by disrupting cellular junctions rather than breaking or lysing (damaging or disintegrating) intercellular filaments.
  5. Provide a loss of the outermost layer of the skin cells followed by activation of epidermal basal cells and underlying fibroblasts (precursor cells that make collagen and elastin).
  6. Causes a thinning of the outer dead layer of skin without any change in the thickness of the epidermis.

Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate:

  1. A lightening and breaking down of hyperpigmentation.
  2. Improving the skin’s texture with visible and tactile softening.
  3. Providing a youthful glow.
  4. Acting as an antioxidant.

sk.in pure is our max strength salicylic acid at home application that improves the removal of stubborn pigmented marks:

Acts as an at home chemical facial peel that assists with treating hyperpigmentation and acts as an exfoliant to improve the absorption of sk.in bounce.

sk.in bounce is sk.in’s flagship serum with a unique combination of both hydroxypinacolone retinoate 1% (vitamin A) and lipid soluble vitamin C 5% that provides a powerful antioxidant duo. Both these ingredients target hyperpigmentation.

precautions

Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate, salicylic acid and ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate are active ingredients that may sensitise the skin with overuse. Dr. Alek Nikolic recommends that you introduce this product slowly into your skin care regime.

sk.in bounce and sk.in pure found in the sk.in htp | hyperpigmentation treatment pack must not be used if pregnant, breast feeding, planning to become pregnant, or with any oral Vitamin A medication (such as Roaccutane). Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate can increase the skin’s sensitivity to sun, so remember to always apply a sunblock with an SPF of 30 or higher during the day.
